There were six games on last night in the NBA. And there were no surprises in terms of results. But that doesn’t mean the underdogs put up a fight. We start in Philadelphia. You know where this one is going.
Philly Lose 16th Game In a Row. Mavs Get The 110-103 Win
Want do the Sixers have to do to get a win? Not even a monster triple double by Michael Carter-Williams can help them get the W. 18 points, 10 rebounds, 16 assists and they still lost! Dirk Nowitzki didn’t even play and they Mavs still won! The Sixers are three more losses away from breaking the 09 Nets’ record for worst start to a season. The benchmark is at 18 and at this rate. It’s looking like the Sixers are going to blow that out of the water.
Washington Hold Off The Pelicans By Winning 83-80
With word of Bradley Beal possibly getting a max deal (and rightly so). The Washington Wizards are continuing to move forward. In this game they held off the Pelicans led by MVP candidate Anthony Davis who had another great game. 30 points and 13 boards. But the Wiz had the Polish Hammer to combat Davis. Marcin Gortat had a crazy game, getting a team high 24 points and 13 rebounds. Wizards are now 10-5 and are looking good.
Charlotte Have A Shocking Game, Leaving Atlanta To Cruise To A 105-75 Win
Charlotte had possibly the worst game I have seen in sometime. This was a blowout for the ages. At one point they were down 40 points. This easily could’ve ended as a 50 point game. There’s shooting yourself in the foot and then there’s chopping your foot off and delivering it to the Hawks via FedEx. This game was over by halftime. I don’t know how the Hornets are this bad. People had them seeded at least 5th in the East. At this rate they’ll be lucky to be 8th.
Cleveland Win Third Straight, Beating Indiana 109-97
Kevin Love finally had a game where he played like he was back in Minnesota. He scored his season average of 16 PPG in the 1st quarter. LeBron took to the passing role getting a team high 7 assists. The Pacers had no chance.
THIS is the Cavs team I was expecting to see before the season.
Clippers Big 3 Do Their Jobs And Beat Utah 112-96. Winning 4th Straight Game
The Los Angeles Clippers, I think. Have finally found a balance and are starting to win games convincingly. Griffin led the Clips in points. Jordan led the Clips in rebounds. And CP3 led the team in assists. Perfect balance and exactly what they needed. If only they can do this every game. As for Utah. Gordon Hayward lead the game with 30 points. He’s actually upholding his max contract well. Shame it can’t translate into wins.
Jabari Parker Leads Milwaukee But It Wasn’t Enough To Stop The Rockets From A 117-103 Win
More and more often we are seeing the potential of Jabari Parker. He isn’t flashy like most players. But he knows his fundamentals and is using them to full effect, leading Milwaukee in points, rebounds and assists. But James Harden, forever the offensive beast, dropping 34 points and 8 assists. The Rockets are 13-4 being led by a James Harden that has really boosted his game this season.
