Dirk Nowitzki scored 21 points in only 20 minutes and the Dallas Mavericks had their largest victory ever by 53 points over the Sixers. The 53-point margin for Dallas surpassed its 50-point win over the New York Knicks in January 2010. Of course it was the Knicks.
Monta Ellis added 17 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. for the Mavs. Chandler Parsons and Brandan Wright each had 14, Parsons had 6 rebounds and Wright had 5 boards. Tyson Chandler had 9 points with 10 rebounds.
Dallas jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the first 2 minutes which turned into 27-9 then a 38-10 by the end of the first quarter which is the largest margin ever by the Mavericks through one quarter. Their 73-29 lead off 44 points gave them their biggest halftime lead ever. The Mavericks had a lead of at least 30 points in the first half for the third time in their 5 home games this season.
The 76ers, who scored the last 5 points to avoid their largest loss ever got the return of a big piece to their puzzle. Michael Carter-Williams, last years NBA Rookie Of The Year who has been sidelined by injury, played for the first time since surgery in May to repair the labrum in his right shoulder.
He led Philadelphia with 19 points on 6-of-19 shooting, also had 8 rebounds with 5 assists. His first points were scored in the first quarter. Although he didn’t start he did come in and on his first possession took the ball coast to coast for a dunk.
His return though, came with a rocky start.

At 0-8, Philadelphia is the only NBA team without a victory. The only time the 76ers have gone deeper into a season before winning a game was 1972-73, when they lost their first 15 games.
This right here, is all you need to see.
