RECAP: Cavaliers Run Past Wizards 113-87
The Cleveland Cavaliers move to .500 on the season after beating the Washington Wizards 113-87 at Quicken Loans Arena on Wednesday night. LeBron James led Cleveland with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Kevin Love added 21 points. Rasual Butler had a team-high 23 points off the bench for the Wizards.
Washington was without starting big man NeNe (foot) who is a key part of their offense. The Cavaliers jumped out to a 31-18 first quarter and never lost their lead since. It was a spread attack led by James – Cleveland had six players score in double figures. The Wizards struggled to take care of the ball, committing 18 turnovers to Cleveland’s 9.
John Wall finished with just 6 points on 2-for-6 shooting for Washington. Paul Pierce had 15 points.
The Cavaliers are now 7-7 and the Wizards are 9-5 on the season.
