A night in which the Chicago Bulls pulled off a road victory against a very tough Toronto Raptros team, All-Star and former MVP Derrick Rose sustained another injury. Bulls beat the Raptors, 100-93.
Derrick Rose scored 20 points with with 4 assists and 3 rebounds before leaving with a sore left hamstring. It just adds to the litany of injuries for Rose this season.
All-Star teammate Joakim Noah had a different view on how the injury was perceived.
Noah: "Relax. He's coming back from two crazy surgeries … so everybody needs to chill the f*** out."

Rose started his third game in his last 7 games due to a pair of sprained ankles. Rose stumbled on a drive to the basket late in the fourth and was replaced by Mikr Dunleavy with under 2 minutes left in the game and he then took a seat on the bench. Hopefully Rose doesn’t stay injured for a long time as he will be very pivotal to the success for the long term of the Bulls.
Pau Gasol had a season-high 27 points and 11 rebounds. Gasol has, without a doubt, been the most important free agent acquisition besides LeBron James from this past off season. Gasol has played a lot of quality minutes for the Bulls. Jimmy Butler scored 21 points with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Mike Dunleavy had 14 points with 5 rebounds. Taj Gibson contributed 10 points and 7 rebounds off the bench. Joakim Noah 6 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists on the night.
Bulls won for the sixth time in 7 games and snapped Toronto’s 5 game winning streak in the matchup of the 2 teams with the best records in the Eastern Conference. Both teams are 7-2.
Kyle Lowry scored 20 points with 8 rebounds and 8 assists, James Johnson had 16 points with 5 rebounds and 4 steals against his former team. Amir Johnson had 14 points and 5 rebounds and Terrence Ross had 12 points and 3 rebounds. Raptors All-Star guard DeMar DeRozan struggled with his shooting for the second straight game and is a combined 7 for 32 in his last 2 games, he had 10 points tonight.
Toronto trailed by as many as 18 before Lowry scored seven points in a 12-1 run that cut the deficit to 93-86 with 2 minutes left, but the Raptors lost for the first time in 6 home games this season.
Chicago Bulls are 7-2.
