RECAP: All 7 NBA Games That Transpired From Sunday Night

  • December 8, 2014
  • Charlie Taylor

The NBA never fails to entertain. Every night there is always games that are bound to be a good watch. Last night we had 7 games on the docket and there were some juicy things going on in the Association.

Rondo Gets A Triple Double As The C’s Hold The Wiz 101-93
Let me just say this. If Rajon Rondo wasn’t injured. If he was healthy all this time. He would easily be the best point guard in the game. And he’s already establishing himself once again. A triple double certainly helps, 13 points, 13 boards and 11 assists. Savage. Jeff Green, forever underrated, got 25 points for the game. But the Wiz nearly came back from a big deficit but the C’s got the win. That’s what you call fighting for the W.

Atlanta Have A Big First Half, Negating Denver For A 96-84 Win
The Hawks are so sneaky. Do you know that they’re now tied for second in the East?! Believe it or not. But they’re a well oiled machine. They don’t have the best team but they focus on efficiency and it’s paying off. Kyle Korver isn’t getting big headed though.

Every NBA game is tough, but we’ve had a favorable schedule to this point.

That’s for sure. They’ve had a very easy schedule. Hopefully when they have some challenges they won’t back down. Once again. Denver have injury problems. “We’re down 10 guys” coach Brian Shaw said. And it’s showing. Other than Lawson. They struggle to find assists.

Memphis Dominate The Heat 103-87
That title says it all, the Heat got straight up dominated. Memphis came from all angles and Miami had no chance. And when bench players like Jon Leuer get 20 points and a career high 12 rebounds including 2 shots from 3-Point land, it was clear that Miami was in for a tough night and after the second half. They had no energy left.

Thunder Hold On To Beat Detroit 96-94
The Pistons last win was against the Thunder, a month ago. The Pistons are straight trash, for seasons they’ve been mediocre. But now. I can unequivocally say they have now regressed to trash. I once again plead for Andre Drummond to ASK FOR A TRADE! You have so much going for you! Jump ship! On the other side, Kevin Durant has officially shaken off the rust. 28 points for the MVP. Josh Smith had a chance to tie the game by getting a layup. But no – He went for the three and missed. Says it all.

Dallas Continue Their Offensive Dominance, destroying Milwaukee 125-102
Don’t care what this game says, I still think Chandler Parsons is overrated. Even though he dropped 28 points against the Bucks, it doesn’t say anything to me. Giannis led the Bucks with 18 points but the whole team contributed. 6 Bucks were double digits in points while Dallas only had 3 (Parsons, 28. Dirk, 21. Monta, 19.)

But because of turnovers from a young Milwaukee side, Dallas capitalised and carry on leading in nearly every offensive category.

Portland Beat Lowly Knicks 103-99
The Knicks are just sad to watch. They just cannot get on the same page. Either Carmelo dominates and the team doesn’t show up. Or (like against the Cavs) the team shows up but Carmelo doesn’t! It’s just sad – 4-18 sad. For Portland. They continue to share the ball. Aldridge shows his prowess once again, getting 24 points and 11 rebounds. Nicolas Batum got 7 assists which reminds everyone why he is considered one of the best two way players in the league. This was a forgone conclusion from tip off.

New Orleans Top The Lakers 104-87
After the news of Byron Scott benching Jeremy Lin and Carlos Boozer. There was optimism in the air. Shame they swapped with Ed Davis and Ronnie Price.
The closest the Lakers were was when they closed the gap in the fourth. To 83-71. Not sure if you notice. But there’s still a gap there. Cue Anthony Davis who put the game to sleep with a couple of layups and that was ball game.
