It was a quite a homecoming for a few Pelicans as Tyreke Evans, & the New Orleans Pelicans (6-4) defeated the Sacramento Kings (6-5) 106-100, Tuesday night in Sacramento.
Anthony Davis continued a very strong start to the season scoring 28 points, & grabbing 8 rebounds. Tyreke Evans also had a big showing against his former team, scoring all 18 of his points in the 2nd half. The biggest coming against DeMarcus Cousins. A fadeaway mid range jumper that sealed the game for NO inside a minute. Ryan Anderson returned to his hometown of Sacramento & dropped 22 against the Kings. Former Kings, Johm Salmons & Jimmer Fredette had 0 points.
DeMarcus Cousins had 24 points & 17 rebounds as the Kings dropped to (6-5) after a very strong first half that seen the Kings lead spike up to 11. But the Kings have had trouble closing out games this season after blowing 20+ point leads against Dallas & Memphis on the road.
The Pelicans will take on Denver Friday night.
The Kings will take on Chicago Thursday Night on TNT.
