RECAP: 10 NBA Games With Blowouts And Buzzer Beaters On Friday

A very interesting Friday night included a smorgasbord of games in the NBA. You want a blowout, we got blowouts. You want a buzzer beater, we got buzzer beaters. Let’s get into the action with a game in the middle.

Atlanta Hawks Beat Miami Heat 114-103
First game of the night was in the Big ATL. Even though there were practically 0 fans in the arena. This game was still a good one to watch. Al Horford and Paul Millsap both lead their team as usual, both scoring 19 points. Dwyane Wade did not suit up because of his hamstring playing up. He smartly ruled himself out before the game. No point trying to push in November.

Denver Nuggets Finally Play Defense And Comfortably Beat Indiana Pacers 108-87
After getting battered the last two games. It seems that Brian Shaw and the Denver players have found a balance. Look. I know the past two losses were terrible. But we can’t immediately condemn Shaw. We need to chill out and give Denver some time. They have many injury prone players so chemistry can be a problem. As for Indiana, they’re just on constant damage control. Waiting for PG and West to come back.

The Return Of Victor Oladipo Spurs The Magic To Beat Milwaukee 101-85
The Orlando Magic have been half decent recently. Partly because of Tobias Harris who has been on a tear. Maybe that’s because he’s in a contract year. And Nikola Vucevic is continuing to be one of the most underrated big men in the game. So when we got word last night that Victor Oladipo would be returning. The Magic couldn’t fly any higher. Unfortunately for the Milwaukee Bucks, they were next on the list and they got beat very easily.

LeBron James Drops 41 but Boston Nearly Stole It. Cavs Run Out With A 122-121 Win
There are two ways to look at this game. Either you think “How could LeBron drop 41 and win by only 1?”. Or you could look at this like this “Rajon Rondo, is still a great player”.
Both views are correct. Boston have a great future ahead of them and Cleveland are still finding a balance defensively. Boston would’ve easily stole this game. You can choose not to think much of this game but I think this game told a lot about both teams. Rajon Rondo should not be a trade piece and Cleveland need LeBron to drop 40 a game in order to win.

Trey Burke Destroy Knicks Hearts. Melo Drops 46 Points But STILL Loses 102-100
So where do I start? The buzzer beater? Carmelo’s 46? I really don’t know how this got out of hand. Carmelo scored the game tying shot. MSG is hyped. Utah write-up a simple play yet a clinical one. Trey Burke drops the game winner. The Knicks are in turmoil. Yes I said it. Turmoil.

Rockets Get Lucky As Battered 76’ers Blow Another Game 88-87
Man. We could’ve been talking about a completely different game. If Michael Carter-Williams wasn’t getting back from injury. And if my boy Nerlens Noel wasn’t injured. Philadelphia could have their first W. But that wasn’t the case and James Harden slapped down 35 points. If you can’t defend Harden. You might as well give Houston the win.

New Orleans Pelicans DESTROY The T’Wolves 139-91
Told you we had blowouts in store. Weirdly enough. Anthony Davis did not have an MVP type performance. Only 22 points and 4 rebounds. It was the “Bounce Brothers” that stuck out in the loss. Andrew Wiggins got 20 points while Zach LaVine got 13 points. Those are good performances considering they get Rookie minutes. New Orleans are genuinely looking like a Playoff team.

Thunder Still Struggle. Detroit Take Advantage And Win 96-89
This game doesn’t really mean anything. The Pistons are the most underwhelming squad I’ve ever seen considering the talent they have. And OKC. You know why they’re bad. But this game did go into overtime so there was some minor interest. Brandon Jennings actually finished the game OVER 50% shooting! It’s a near Thanksgiving miracle!

Charlotte Hornets Sting The Suns 103-95. Grabbing 1st W On The Road.
Charlotte finally grab a win on the road against a Suns team. That are truly a .500 team at the moment. They a good when they play offense but when it comes to defense. They have a lot to learn from there. Charlotte are in the same boat. They can’t have Kemba Walker bailing them out every game.

Spurs Uphold The Forgone Conclusion And Beat The Lakers 93-80
Tim Duncan carries on being a legend as he reaches the 25,000 point milestone. The Spurs are now 5-3. As for the Lakers. Well what hasn’t been said. Nothing new. Except for Kobe Bryant going 1-14 shooting. The worst game FG% in his career. Boy just keeps breaking records.
