Raymond Felton (Ankle) Out Up To Six Weeks For Mavs
Dallas Mavericks point guard Raymond Felton suffered a high ankle sprain in the Mavericks preseason game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday. Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle told reporters that Felton is expected to miss extended time, per ESPN.
Felton was traded from the New York knicks to Dallas along with Tyson Chandler during the summer. He is slated for a four-game suspension from his guilty plea on gun charges while with the Knicks last season. The suspension will begin when Felton is healthy and available to play, so he will miss four games regardless.
There is no clear update or timetable on Felton’s return, that depends on the severity of the sprain, but in the meantime Dallas will likely interchange Jameer Nelson and Devin Harris at point guard.
