Ray Rice has been suspended for a majority of the season now and has been released by the Ravens. Essentially, Rice is done in the NFL for now.
But according to ESPN.Com, Rice is trying to file a grievance against the Ravens and get his suspension lifted by the NFL.
Ray Rice has filed a grievance against the Baltimore Ravens for terminating his contract, a source confirmed to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Pro Football Talk first reported that the former Ravens running back had filed the grievance. The team cut Rice after video of him hitting his then-fiancee in an elevator was made public.
Rice also was suspended indefinitely by the NFL after the video became public. He has appealed the suspension, with a hearing set for Nov. 5-6.
Best of luck to Rice, but I don’t see the former Rutgers star getting his suspension lifted anytime soon.
