With Kelechi Osemele headed west the Ravens have geared up to do more damage in free agency. ESPN’s Field Yates is reporting that Baltimore and guard Marshal Yanda has restructured their deal.
Ravens G Marshal Yanda converted $5.3M of his $6.19M base salary of 2016 into a signing bonus, creating $3.975M of cap space, per source.

This move is important for a team that had virtually zero cap space entering the offseason. The team has already agreed to a deal with tight end Ben Watson and place a 2nd round tender on Kamar Aiken. Additionally cornerback Kyle Arrington accepted a pay cut to save the team even more money. Expect the Ravens to be busy. Make no mistake about it restructuring a deal is in the player’s benefit giving him more guaranteed money. Yanda is widely regarded as the NFL’s best guard
