A man who was once one of the most feared pass rushers in the NFL will be joining an already dangerous defense.
Jason Babin, who was cut earlier in the preseason by the New York Jets, will be signing a deal with Baltimore Ravens. On Sunday, the Ravens learned they would be without former defensive player of the year Terrell Suggs for the rest of the season after he ruptured his achilles for the second time in his career.

The team has signed veteran pass rusher Jason Babin to a one-year contract, NFL Media’s Rand Getlin reported, according to sources with knowledge of the signing.
It is also reported that Babin, a two-time pro bowler, would be signing a minimum contract with Baltimore.
For now, the Ravens will look to Elvis Dumervil as their lead pass rusher, with Courtney Upshaw remaining an early-down specialist and Babin battling fourth-round rookie Za’Darius Smith for sub-package snaps but at this stage of Babin’s career, he’s unlikely to make a big impact on the defensive ends.
Babin joining the Ravens will mark his eighth different team in his 11 year NFL career.
