The man who was once the highest paid player in the NBA, Rashard Lewis, had a dramatic fall from grace. He went from being one of the top players in the league, a former 2-time All-Star to a deep rotation guy on a Miami Heat championship team.
Lewis signed a six-year, $118 million deal as part of a sign-and-trade to the Orlando Magic back in 2007 and was an intricate part of the Magic’s playoffs success in the late 2000’s until Dwight Howard, Lewis and the rest of that team departed.
Now Lewis is looking to get back into the NBA after missing the entire 2014-15 season due to a knee issue.

Lewis was trying to join the Dallas Mavericks last summer but his deal was voided after the Mavs found his knee has some damage to it. Now Lewis’ knee is clean but how good can his game be for the NBA?
A team looking for a veteran spot up shooter could look to add Lewis, if he has a clean bill of health. As his career came towards what many people thought would be his last run in the NBA, he wasn’t playing as many games anymore and his production dropped along with his ability. Mostly due to injuries.
Lewis would be 36 going into next season, so whatever team wants to bring him in will need to get as much out of him that they can and the deal will most likely be a very cheap one.
