The NBA announced that Toronto Raptors guard and 6th man Lou Williams had won the 6th Man Of The Year Award. Williams averaged 15.5 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal, but he shot 34% from the 3-point line and shot 40% in general.
According to Sam Amick of USA Today:
The Raptors' Lou Williams wins the Sixth Man of the Year award. I voted Isaiah Thomas, had Lou second, Andre Iguodala third.

6. Nikola Mirotic

The story of Lou Williams is a great one. He started in Philadelphia as a 76er, got traded to Atlanta where he fell to an ACL injury, which changed his entire view on basketball. He came to Toronto, ready to prove people wrong, and that’s exactly what he did. He has 2 girlfriends, he was sponsored by Drake, he is the 6th Man Of The Year for the Toronto Raptors, what could you not like about him?
Although the competition was heavy, and I’m sure the race was close between Lou Williams and Celtics 6th man Isaiah Thomas, Williams surely should have prevailed.
As a Toronto Raptors fan this excites me, because this is the first ever 6th Man the Raptors have had. The Toronto Raptors face the hard task of coming back from a 1-0 deficit after losing Game 1 of the first round to the Washington Wizards. Williams and company look to regain an advantage in Game 2 on Wednesday. Congratulations Louuuuuuuu.
