On Monday night the Toronto Raptors faced off against the Denver Nuggets, when both teams had lost their last game looking to find a win. The Toronto Raptors seemed to control the 1st half of this game, but the Denver Nuggets took control of the 2nd half. Despite the Nuggets efforts, the Raptors pulled out with a victory 112-107. Lou Williams had 26 points, and Patrick Patterson had 19 points off the bench to help the Raptors. Jonas Valanciunas had 18 points and 12 rebounds while Kyle Lowry had a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds. The Nuggets backcourt of Arron Afflalo and Ty Lawson was flawless combining for 47 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds. The Denver Nuggets shot really well from the 3 point line making 10 of the 30 3’s they took.
Analysis: The Toronto Raptors pull off another victory, making them 3-3 without their leading scorer DeMar DeRozan. The funny thing is, the Toronto Raptors have suffered on the defensive end without DeRozan, allowing all their opponents to score 100+ points. On the bright side, the Raptors won their first ever home overtime game since March 29th, 2009. After Tuesday nights game vs the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Raptors schedule becomes extremely favourable, playing the majority of their December games against teams below .500.
