In game three of the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers first round 2016 NBA playoffs matchup, the boys from up north were looking to find an answer to the Pacers big game one win. With Toronto’s all-star backcourt looking like they are finally back on track, the Raptors came into Indianapolis and defeated the Pacers 101-85.
It was a return to form of sorts for both DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry as the duo looked like they finally are on the road back to returning to their stellar season form. Lowry and DeRozan both poured in 21 points for Toronto with Kyle playing 40 minutes and DeMar playing 36. Lowry shot 8-21 on the night including 4-10 from three-point range and also handed out eight assists, a vast change from his subpar game one output. DeRozan came off a late benching in game two with something to prove by shooting 7-19 from the field and going 7-9 from the free throw line. DeMarre Carroll put up 17 points of his own in the Raptors first road win since game four of their first round series against the Brooklyn Nets.
Once again Paul George led the way for the Indiana Pacers scoring 25 points on the night on 6-19 shooting, going 12-12 from the free throw line but he struggled from three-point range going 1-8 from deep with 10 rebounds and six assists. The only other member of the Pacers to give them any sort of important output on the stat sheet was rookie Myler Turner coming off the bench to score 17 points and grab eight rebounds.
Game 4 in this series stays in Indianapolis and comes to you on Saturday afternoon at 3PM Eastern on TNT.
