Ogletree, who signed a four-year, $42 million extension back in October, has been a key component of their defense. He has 231 tackles and two sacks the past two season in L.A., and he is only 26 years old.
For the Giants, this is a major upgrade. Having a reliable linebacker like Ogletree will greatly improve the Giants defense, and I feel he will have an immediate impact once he gets on the field.
It has been a busy week for the Rams. In the past few weeks, they have traded for Marcus Peters from the Kansas City Chiefs, traded Robert Quinn, and franchise-tagged Lamarcus Joyner. The key here seems to be to make cap space to sign other stars on the team, such as Aaron Donald.
The trade will be finalized March 14 when the new NFL season officially begins.
