Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp won the AP Offensive Player of the Year during Thursday’s ceremony of the NFL Honors. He joins Jerry Rice, a two-time winner, and Michael Thomas as the only receivers to earn the award in NFL history.

With 145 catches, 1947 receiving yards, and 16 touchdowns, Kupp had an unbelievable season claiming the fifth receiving triple-crown in the history of the league. Kupp was 17 yards shy of Calvin Johnson’s single-season record for receiving yards.
“I truly believe this would not be possible without my family, without my wife, without my boys, without the support system that I have behind me,” Kupp said on a statement. “I’m just so incredibly thankful for them and for their willingness to sacrifice to allow me to play this game with the respect that it demands.”
Out of the 50 voters, 35 picked Kupp to win the award. Colts running back Jonathan Taylor finished with 10 votes, Buccaneers quarterback received three, and the 2021 AP MVP Aaron Rodgers had two votes.
Now, Kupp and his teammates prepare to culminate the season with a Super Bowl ring on Sunday.
