Now this is something you don’t see in everyday NBA.
Rajon Rondo, star point guard for the Boston Celtics will be an analyst for ComCast SportsNet New England. Local broadcasters for the Celtics.
Here’s some more info from Boston.com
Rondo will serve as a guest analyst during the Celtics’ matchup with the Bulls on Monday, March 31.
He’ll join play-by-play voice Mike Gorman for the first quarter of CSNNE’s broadcast, with Cedric Maxwell substituting in for the final three quarters.
Now we occasionally have players (active, injured or retired) coming in during the game to chat with the commentators but this is a whole new frontier.
And I love it. Now this could be the beginning of something fun. Now this time it’s Rondo who’s considered not as flamboyant as his game suggests. Imagine if it was Nick Young or Kobe… Man that would be something to watch.
