Before this, the 49ers were set to send Bowman to New Orleans but after learning he would rather be a free agent decided to release him as a reward for all he’s meant to the franchise. He had spent 7 seasons with the team and is set to be paid by both teams.
NaVorro was set to visit the Cowboys before this announcement while also speaking to the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.
The Raiders have a bottom half rushing defense and after four straight losses, they sit at 2-4 fighting for a playoff spot. After a week where Melvin Gordon run all over them they hope Bowman can suit up for Thursdays night clash with the Kansas City Chiefs.
