Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio will become the next head coach of the Oakland Raiders. This will be Del Rio’s second stint as a head coach previously coaching in Jacksonville. Jack compiled a record of 68-71 from 2003-2011. The other finalist for the job was interim coach Tony Sparano, who also has head coaching experience in Miami. Del Rio will have his hands full with this job as the team needs a lot of work. Marc Trestman and Mike Smith are expected to be on the top of his wish list for coordinators. Both Trestman and Smith are former head coaches bringing more leadership to Oakland. Del Rio will look to bring a change of culture to the black hole. The Raiders have not had a season over .500 since 2002. The Raiders will have plenty of cash to spend in free agency to go along with the 4th overall draft pick.
