A Chicago judge overseeing R. Kelly’s child-pornography case is to decide on order protecting evidence. According to The Associated Press, the judge “is set to rule on how tightly he should restrict access to and mentions of the evidence.”
Judge Harry Leinenweber is slated to approve “some form of a protective order” on Wednesday. The Associated Press reports that during a hearing last week, the singer’s lawyers stated that “restrictions proposed by prosecutors were too wide-reaching and could hamper their defense.”
R. Kelly, born Robert Kelly, is currently behind bars for charges which include coercing minors to engage in sex. His arraignment on related charges to set to take place on Friday.
