As the NBA Regular Season nears closer and closer. Teams are starting to take shape. The New York Knicks have some decisions to make and it seems they’ve made an important one. Since Carmelo Anthony has put his foot down saying he will primarily play at small forward. There’s a place to fill and it turns out. Underrated beard wearer Quincy Acy might be their starter according to the New York Post.
“No I didn’t plan on coming here to start,’’ Acy told The Post with a chuckle. “I planned on coming here and playing hard to earn minutes. I guess I impressed enough with my defense to earn a spot. I don’t know what coach got going if I’m starting or coming off the bench or not playing, but I’ll be happy.’’
“I think that separates myself — just high energy,’’ Acy said. “Not a lot of guys in the league do the things I do. I take pride in it and take pride in my defense and take some pride in being a great overall teammate.’’
I see you “Ace”. I see the minor hype you’re giving yourself.
I don’t think it’s a lock. He may start the first game of the regular season but you never know, Amar’e Stoudemire could put in some work one week and suddenly he’s the starter.
And remember this is only a story because Bargnani is injured. Hopefully the Knicks will realise how mediocre Bargnani is.
