Prince may be gone, but he is long from being forgotten. Earlier this month, Tidal announced that it will be releasing a new album of Prince music in 2019. The Paisley Park estate has announced that it will release a book of Prince’s photos and poetry in the near future and fifty pages of Prince’s memoir are also set to be released. This week, Questlove put his two cents in on the Prince appreciation run.
In an effort to honor one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, Questlove has announced his latest artistic endeavor. With help from Prince’s estate and the Wolf Trap Love Orchestra, Questlove will embark on an early Fall tour that will consist of Prince classics and deep cuts performed by the Wolf Trap Love Orchestra.
The tour will kick off at the State Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey before heading off to Atlanta, Brooklyn, Nashville and Houston. On October 21st, the tour will conclude in Kansas City at the Arvest Bank Theater.
There hasn’t been an announcement about when tickets will go on sale, but don’t be upset if the tour doesn’t stop in your city. Questlove hinted that more dates will be announced later in 2018 and in early 2019.
