Queen Latifah has done everything in entertainment from rapping to acting to producing. However, she’s entering into new territory with her latest deal. The entertainment mogul has recently locked in a first-look deal with Audible. Throughout the duration of their partnership, the New Jersey native will develop a string of podcasts including Unity In The Community and Streets, Rhymes & Sugar: A Hip-Hop Memoir.
Debuting on August 5, Streets, Rhymes & Sugar: A Hip-Hop Memoir will follow the story of Michael Elliot as he transitions from being homeless on the streets of Philadelphia to writing films like Brown Sugar and Like Mike. Meanwhile, Unity In The Community will feature Queen Latifah searching for feel-good stories in marginalized communities.
“We are so excited to collaborate with Audible on a collection of shows that will highlight different communities, community leaders and friends of mine,” Queen Latifah said about her latest venture.
“A common thread within all of these shows will be to share stories that bring hope and entertainment to those at home who have had a tough year.”
