HBO and Wyatt Cenac are on good terms and they are planning on taking their relationship to the next level. The former Daily Show correspondent has received the great news that his show, Problem Areas, has been renewed for a second season. The first season, which debuted on April 13th, joins the likes of topical HBO late night shows like Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Real Time with Bill Maher. During its freshman season, the show has touched on topics such as the NRA and gun reform, the student loan crisis and police brutality.

In celebration of the show’s renewal, HBO’s EVP of Programming Nina Rosenstein said, “We’re so thrilled to have such a relevant, thought-provoking and sharply funny show on the network. We’re all looking forward to seeing what problem areas Wyatt and his team decide to tackle next season.” Cenac also shared Rosenstein’s excitement. Earlier today, the TV show host tweeted, “Many thanks to everyone who has been watching Problem Areas and to HBO and everyone at Problem Areas, who have worked incredibly hard to make this show more than an incredibly specific ayahuasca induced fever dream.
There’s no word on when the second season will air, but fans of the show can catch episode six of Problem Areas this Friday on HBO.
