
The Pro Football HOF (Hall of Fame) has announced a list of 27 Modern-Era semifinalists. The selection committee will then narrow this list down to 15 finalist, before choosing a class of 8 inductees.

Three most notable candidates:
Roger Craig: Craig played the majority of his career with the 49ers during their dynasty years in the 80’s and early 90’s. He is a 4 time Pro Bowler, 3 time Super Bowl MVP, and a member of the 1980’s all decade team. Craig helped the 49ers revolutionize the league with their West Coast offense. One of the first dual threat running backs Craig could hurt you in the run game and as a receiver. He was the first running back to gain more than 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving in the same season.
Ray Lewis: Lewis is eligible for induction as a first ballot selection this year. The dynamic linebacker played 17 seasons in the NFL, all for the Baltimore Ravens. Lewis is a 2 time Super Bowl champion, 13 time Pro Bowl selection, and 10 time All Pro. He also won the Super Bowl MVP award in 2000. Lewis’ 10 All Pro selections are a record for inside linebacker and tie Lawrence Taylor for the linebacker position
Randy Moss: Moss is another player that could be a potential first ballot Hall of Famer. Through out his career Moss was a touchdown machine, he currently holds 2 NFL records for touchdowns scored in a season. Moss recorded most touchdowns receptions in a season (23) and the most touchdown receptions in a season as a rookie (17). In his career Moss lead the league in touchdown receptions 5 times(1998, 2000, 2003, 2007, and 2009), was a 6 time Pro Bowler, 4 time All Pro, NFL Rookie of the year (1998), and is on the NFL 2000’s all decade team.
