With these signings and the firing of head coach Mike McCarthy, the Packers are making it clear that missing the playoffs will not be a habit in Green Bay. Both stud linebackers will be welcomed additions to a middle of the pack defense that did not do enough last season to help future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers win games. While the Packer offense still needs to improve to make a run to the playoffs possible, the signings of Za’Darius and Preston Smith will help make their defense put fear in opposing teams looking to keep up with Rodgers.
