Post Malone’s private jet made an emergency landing last August in New York. And according to an FAA incident report, the cause was due to blown tires and multiple safety violations.
Reported by TMZ, the rapper’s private jet had several safety procedures that were ignored. According to the report, “after the plane’s initial takeoff for a London-bound flight, the pilots were alerted one of the doors wasn’t closed properly.”
The crew landed the plane to check out the issue and when the plane took off for a second time, “two tires on the left side of the aircraft exploded.” Another emergency landing was made after pilots circled New York City for hours to burn off 3,700 gallons of fuel.
The FAA reports that the reason the tires were blown, was because the jet was too heavy. Aside from exceeding the plane’s weight limit, the flight crew also “ignored safety procedures after the first landing by only waiting 20-30 minutes before taking off again.”
Post Malone’s jet was also 50-hours overdue for a maintenance check.
