In a day and age where artists gain notoriety without having to write their own music, it’s rare to find artists who not only write their music, but produce it as well. Stars like J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T and Russ certainly fall into this category, but most do not. One new artist is looking to move his way into such company and he goes by the name Pop Smoke.
Hailing from Brooklyn, Pop Smoke has gained traction in the home of Hip-Hop with tracks like “Meet The Woo” and “Flexing.” Despite having only four tracks on Soundcloud, the New York artist is already making waves across the country thanks to his hit, “Welcome To The Party.” Released on Soundcloud less than a month ago, “Welcome To The Party” is one of the fastest rising tracks in all of music. With one million plays on Soundcloud and over 500,000 views on YouTube, it’s clear that the rising artist has a hit record on his hands.
To keep the momentum going for his big record, Pop Smoke has dropped the official video for the song.
