Fresh off of delivering a surprise performance at Broccoli City Festival in Washington, D.C., Polo G has returned with a track and visual. Produced by Southside and CuBeats, “Distraction” serves as his first single of 2022. With an addictive guitar playing behind him, the Chicago native digs deep to deliver the relatable, honest lyrics that have made him a star.
“How I go so hard, they still discredit my talent/Took sh*t too far, now?they?regrettin’ what happened/Hard?for my mama to accept I’m?a savage,” he raps.
“You play, I’m lettin’ you have it//Them?shots let off,?that’s too much?blood for a napkin/They claim we locked in, what if I wasn’t rapping?”
“Distraction” serves as the start of Polo G’s next chapter. He released his chart-topping album, Hall of Fame, in the summer of 2021 and followed it up with the deluxe edition at the end of 2021. The project’s sparked the success of Polo G’s first number one hit, “Rapstar” with Einer Banks. He’s also delivered collaborations with Lil’ Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Pop Smoke. Now, he’s prepared to earn his second title in the wild music industry. Check out “Distraction” below.
