One of the great Detroit Pistons will be honored by his former team in two months. Former Pistons shooting guard Rip Hamilton will have his jersey retired by his team:

Hamilton may not be known as one of the greatest players of all time, but he was a huge part of the Pistons team that won a championship in 2004.
Hamilton spent nine seasons in Detroit, averaging 18.4 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game. His scoring, especially in running off screens for jumpers, was a necessary punch for a Pistons team known mainly for its suffocating defense.
Rip took to Instagram to express his happiness with the news:
This is a well-deserved honor for Rip Hamilton, a three-time all-star as a member of the Pistons. He will join the likes of former teammates Chauncey Billups and Ben Wallace in the rafters.
