Pete Saji has inked an overall deal with ABC Signature. Saji is no stranger to the brand as he signed his first deal in 2017.
“Peter has written some of the most evocative and important episodes of Black-ish, and hit a real home run for us with Mixed-ish,” ABC Signature President Jonnie Davis said.
“Keeping him at ABC Signature, where he started his career, was a huge priority for us and for me personally. He’s a spectacular talent and I’m so happy he’s staying in the family,” Davis added.
Saji is best known for his work within the Black-ish universe. He spent five seasons as a writer and producer for the hit show, Black-ish. He also earned a Writers Guild Association award nomination in 2016. More recently, he has worked with Tracee Ellis Ross to create the new show, Mixed-ish. In May, Saji’s show was renewed for a second season.
