It’s a weird and strange situation whenever you trade your star player for, at best, average players in Brandan Wright and Jae Crowder. When Rajon Rondo was traded, you had a feeling that the players the Boston Celtics received, wouldn’t be Celtics for long.
According to J. Michael at CSNWashington.com:
Boston Celtics president Danny Ainge has informed the 6-10 center that he’s on the block and should expect to be on another team. That’s why Wright had a head-scratching DNP this week on a team that could use his skill set.
Wright isn’t a bad player. In Dallas he solidified himself as a solid player off the bench, and he is super long, so the talent and the prospect of him being a legitimate center is there. I know some teams that would love to have the talent of Wright, like the Cavaliers who have been searching for some size in the middle. The Clippers have also been looking for more bench presence. If these reports are true, Brandan Wright definitely will have some interested buyers.
