The New Orleans Pelicans are really focusing on the next two years. They got an inventive head coach, they have a budding superstar, they have pieces. They truly think that they’ll be a long-term threat for not just Playoff basketball, but also championship basketball. Personally I think they need a proper lieutenant for Davis, they have a lot of players with decent talent, but they haven’t got the man who will help Davis and be part of a dynamic duo. But hey, they’ve made it a mission to lock up a solid team and they’ve achieved that all offseason. Today they signed free agent Alonzo Gee and re-signed Luke Babbitt to 2-Year deals.

With all the re-signing they’ve been doing, you’ve got to ask ‘Do they realise that they need more?’ I know Davis is Davis, but you have to see the starting 5 and scrunch your face a little. Half of them have had a myriad of injuries, Gordon, Anderson and Holiday especially. That’s some God like commitment to rely on those players.
