The Pelicans have had a very easy going offseason. Lock up Anthony Davis, hype up Anthony Davis’ three point shooting, hype up how hench Anthony Davis is getting.
Yea they’re a little bit pro Anthony Davis.
But now it’s about Norris Cole, last time we checked with Norris he was a restricted free agent and by the lack of Cole news, it’s safe to say that the Pelicans was his only option. And now the Pels have hooked him up with a one-year qualifying offer.
Norris Cole has signed a $3.03 million, one-year qualifying offer with the New Orleans Pelicans, a source told ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on Wednesday.
The deal, which will have a no-trade clause, sets the stage for the 6-foot-2 Cole to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.
I think this is good for Norris, I mean he was aggravating in Miami but looked good in his small stint in New Orleans. And because he’s under forever injured Jrue Holiday, there’s always a possibility of him getting starters minutes. But like his previous teammate Mario Chalmers, he doesn’t know what he is. Is he a scorer or a passer? Because he does both but not to a high level.
