
New Orleans Pelicans hosted a New York Knicks in desperate need of a victory after they officially are off to the worst start in their franchises history. The Pelicans though didn’t feel any type of remorse for New York beating them 104-93.
Tyreke Evans knocked out of a recent shooting slump in which he was shooting 33% from the field in his previous 3 games to lead the Pelicans with 27 points and 6 assists. Anthony Davis scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds as “The Brow” took a step back and allowed someone else to take over the scoring load for the game. Omer Asik assisted Davis up front by scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds on the night. Jrue Holiday had 13 points with 7 assists and 6 rebounds for the Pelicans.
Amar’e Stoudemire continues his case for Most Improved Player by posting a season-high game. STAT scored 26 points and grabbed 5 rebounds to lead the Knicks on the night. Carmelo Anthony had only 17 points for the Knicks and J.R. Smith matched his total coming off the bench.
As a team, the Pelicans out-rebounded the Knicks 43-30.
The Knicks continue to add to their worst start in franchise history with their ninth straight loss.
