Pee-wee Herman is back and is headed to Netflix.
The streaming service announced it will premiere Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. The film stars Paul Reubens as the infamous character and will begin production this year.
According to Netflix, the film centers around Pee-wee, who after a mysterious encounter with a stranger, inspire Pee-wee to take his first-ever holiday in an “epic story of friendship and destiny.”
Reubens created the character in the early ’80s when he was a member for L.A.’s The Groundlings improv group.
Netflix currently streams several Pee-wee Herman films, including: “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure,” Big Top Pee-wee,” “The Pee-wee Herman Show,” and season one and two of Pee-wee’s Playhouse”
The film will be produced by Judd Apatow.
