On Saturday, June 28, 2025, UFC bantamweight prospect Payton Talbott will share the octagon with Felipe Lima at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bantamweight match will serve as support for the main event at UFC 317 featuring Ilia Topuria and Charles Olivera.
Payton Talbott is one of the most talked about prospects in the UFC. The Reno, Nevada native entered the pro ranks in 2021 and reeled off five straight knockout wins to capture and defend the A1 Combat Bantamweight Championship. After defending the title twice, he stepped up and competed in Dana White’s Contender Series, beating Reyes Cortez Jr. by unanimous decision. As a newcomer to the UFC, Talbott immediately made his presence felt by winning his first three matches by stoppage, including two Fight of the Night performances. However, his winning streak was cut down by Raoni Barcelos, who beat Talbott by unanimous decision during UFC 311 in Inglewood, California.
Felipe Lima does not possess the same level of fanfare, but that may not matter on fight night. The 27-year-old Brazilian out of Allstars Training Center lost his pro debut in 2015 and has since won 14 straight matches, including two in the UFC. As a result, he is an early betting favorite heading into Talbott’s hometown bout.
UFC 317 will also include a flyweight title bout featuring champion Alexandre Pantoja and challenger Kai Kara-France. Also, Beneil Dariush and Renato Moicano will meet in a battle of top ten lightweights.
