Paul Pierce missed another practice, although it is just to give The Truth an opportunity to rest up before playoffs. As long as Pierce stays in shape and is ready to make a deep run into the playoffs with the Wizards, this move should be a positive one from Randy Wittman and his coaching staff.
Otto Porter has been providing the Wizards with some amazing performances while Pierce has been out for rest. The Wizards have won all three games Otto has started while Pierce has been taking some time off. It’s safe to say the Wizards have not been losing much while giving Otto and opportunity to shine in the starting lineup.
Pierce will likely come back, and then have another game of rest or two before the playoffs begin. Until then, Otto is going to make the most of his opportunities, and will continue to shine as a part of the starting lineup in DC.
