
With the Los Angeles Clippers losing game 7 to the Utah Jazz, Hall-of-Famer-to-be Paul Pierce has officially played his last NBA game. Pierce was one of the great scorers to ever play basketball. One of the greatest players to lace ’em up for (arguably) the most storied franchise in NBA history. As expected, the Boston Celtics will retire Pierce’s number, owner Wyc Grousbeck confirmed on The Sports Hub 98.5’s “Toucher and Rich” show
Pierce played 15 seasons with the Celtics, being named to 10 All-Star teams, four All-NBA teams and winning one championship and Finals MVP award.
Following his last game with the Clippers, a tribute video by The Players’ Tribune featuring Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Shaquille O’Neal, and many more former NBA players and personnel was shown:
