Paul Millsap was a huge part of the Hawks success this season, and his shoulder may be holding him back while also helping Atlanta in a huge deficit with an unlikely chance of advancing further in the playoffs. It is now a possibility this shoulder that has been holding Millsap and the Hawks back from the success they had in the regular season will require surgery in the offseason.
With the Hawks’ season inching closer and closer to an end, it will be important for Millsap to get his health back to help Atlanta perform at a high level again next season. With all of the possibilities of what could happen to Atlanta in the offseason, it will be hard to see a repeat of this season, but getting their power forward back and healthy is a huge priority.
The lingering injury to Millsap’s shoulder that kept him out of five games in April seems to have seems to have hit its breaking point, and surgery could be the best available option.
