Back when the Heat had the Big 3 I didn’t like Paul George because he posed a threat to my Heat every year. The Pacers always faced the Heat in the Playoffs but always lost.
These days, I’m liking Paul George not just because Indiana don’t pose much of a threat, but because he’s still a beast. He’s such a baller, I love watching Paul George. He’s got fire, he’s a leader, I like everything about him.
The Pacers recently lost to apparent 2016 Eastern Conference Champions Cleveland Cavaliers in a close game and after taking the L, PG13 wasn’t impressed.
“I think we match up well against this team,” he said. “This team doesn’t really scare us.”
George scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Pacers, while Monta Ellis scored 25 points and Jordan Hill grabbed 11 rebounds. The Pacers had their own three-game winning streak snapped.
“It’s on us to get where we want to get to,” George said. “It’s all about who gets the last laugh when we’re in the NBA Finals or playing against the Cavs in the Eastern Conference finals or whoever.”
I’m glad he said ‘or whoever’ because like George, I’m not impressed with what the Cavs have done so far. Yes they’re getting wins but they haven’t been convincing. They’re not throwing teams on the ground and sitting on them like the Warriors are doing. I’m more impressed with the Atlanta Hawks than the Cavs to be honest.
