On Saturday, the Oklahoma City Thunder acquired Carmelo Anthony for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a 2018 second-round draft pick. Already, Anthony is recruiting Dwyane Wade, whom the Chicago Bulls bought out on Sunday. Anthony’s “recruitment pitch” took place at the Thunder’s media day on Monday (transcription from ClutchPoints):
“Where is he? I have no idea to be honest with you, I would love to have him here in Oklahoma City, but am I allowed to say that? Is that tampering?,” Anthony asked when asked about Wade possibly joining the Thunder.
“Oh he’s free now?. C’mon D, you know where you belong, guy.”
Paul George, also new to Oklahoma City, is aiding in the Wade recruitment:
Paul George on the D-Wade recruitment: "I'm in his phone text, his DMs, Snapchat, whatever it takes to get this dude here."

PG on Dwyane Wade: "That's between Sam and D-Wade…It'd be great, it's be great to get D-Wade…It's be great to get D-Wade here."

We could be watching Russell Westbrook, Dwyane Wade, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony on the floor together next year. This offseason is wild.
