In what was a quiet first day of NFL Free Agency, the second and final day of legal tampering has ramped up. The New England Patriots are trading for Indianapolis Colts Tight End Dwayne Allen, per Ian Rappoport.

After the Colts signed Jack Doyle to a 3-year deal last night, the departure of Dwayne Allen seems quite fitting. After speculations of Martellus Bennett demanding more money from the Patriots after declining a $7 million/year deal, it looks like Bennett will be finding a new home this offseason. Adam Schefter, NFL insider later on reported that both a 4th round pick, along with a 6th round pick will be traded for Dwayne Allen.
Patriots traded a fourth-round pick to Colts for TE Dwayne Allen and a sixth-round pick, per league sources.

After Chris Ballard took over the General Manager position of the Colts, a new era of Colts football is here starting with the trade with the rival New England Patriots.
Dwayne Allen also isn’t a stranger to the Patriots after voicing his opinions on New England during the infamous Deflate Gate. It’s almost safe to say that Tom Brady will welcome him with open arms.
@NFLonFOX not a story. They could have played with soap for balls and beat us. Simply the better team. We have to continue to build! #BTM

This all but cements the speculations of Martellus Bennett returning back to Foxborough next season.
