Patriots Sign Jabaal Sheard
The Patriots have decided to use some money after the team lost Darrelle Revis. The team will now upgrade the pass rush signing former Browns edge rusher Jabaal Sheard. The Pats may have found themselves a cheap bargain here, but would you expect otherwise from this savvy organization. A two year deal worth 11 million dollars was money well spent.
Sheard is only 25 years old and managed to record 23 sacks over his 4 year career. He also found himself as a rotational player once the team selected Barkevious Mingo in the first round two seasons ago. Sheard could find himself a starting role in New England opposite of Chandler Jones creating a violent pass rush. his ability to play the 4-3 defensive end makes him a versatile piece in the New England defense. The Patriots have also added wide receivers Brandon Gibson and Kevin Dorsey. The team also signed cornerback Chimdi Chekwa. Expect the Patriots to go bargain hunting after losing Darrelle Revis.
