
The New England Patriots and pro bowl kicker Stephen Gostkowski have agreed to a new contract extension. Christopher Gasper of the Boston Globe was the first to report the news.
According to a league source, the Patriots and kicker Stephen Gostkowski have reached agreement on a contract extension.

Gostkowski was placed as the teams franchise player this past offseason. Gostkowski’s deal is 4 years, $17.2 million. His new deal is also slightly higher than recently signed punter Sam Koch. With the new extra point rule in effect Gostkowski’s value became significantly higher.
The 8 year pro has made 86.8% of his field goals during his career. His past two seasons were beyond impressive earning him a new deal (92.7% in 2013, 94.6% in 2014.
