The New England Patriots and former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Jordan Matthews agree on an one-year contract. Adam Schefter reported the news via twitter.
Patriots are signing former Bills’ WR Jordan Matthews to a one-year deal, per source. Healthy now, so could be a real factor.

Jordan Matthews spent his first three seasons in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles before joining the Buffalo Bills in 2017. The Eagles drafted Matthews in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft. Matthews was productive and a valuable number two receiver. Every season Matthews spent in Philadelphia he had at least 800 receiving yards while only missing two games in three seasons. Last season in Buffalo was a different story for Matthews. He was limited to 10 games and only seven starts while only hauling in 25 catches for 282 receiving yards and one touchdown.
So, two days after trading one notable WR from the class of 2014, the Patriots sign another. Jordan Matthews becomes latest player to go from Buffalo to New England.

Only a few days after trading Brandin Cooks to the Rams, the Patriots look to fill those shoes with Jordan Matthews. New England also has two picks in the first round as they look to bounce back from their super bowl loss.
