Julian Edelman has been a New England Patriot his entire career and that won’t be changing anytime soon, at least for the next two years.
Adam Schefter broke the news first via Twitter.

Edelman, 31, was drafted in ’09 by the Patriots, landing him in the seventh round with the 232nd pick. Looking back now, many teams would tell you they regret not taking him sooner. Look at this impressive stat tweeted by Mike Reiss, ESPN NFL Nation reporter.
Edelman has 356 catches from 2013-2016. Only Antonio Brown (481), Demaryius Thomas (398), Julio Jones (364) & Larry Fitzgerald (361) w/ more

Along with that, Edelman is also coming off an impressive 2016 campaign where he appeared in all 16 games with totals of 98 receptions for 1,106 yards and 3 touchdowns. His 98 receptions led the team and ranked 4th in the NFL.
Let’s not forget, this is the guy Tom Brady pushed for to be backup QB last year. If this man can play both the WR and QB positions, you’ve got yourself a special player.
