We are just days away from the biggest weekend on the NBA calendar. In one of the most famous city’s in the world, New York City.
It is also where the biggest stars strut their stuff whether it be dunking, shooting or agility.
Biggest stars. Stars. Star. Example of a star. Washington’s John Wall who should be participating in the All-Star Skills Challenge but according to the NBA, Houston Rockets’ Patrick Beverley will replace him.
Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley was selected by the NBA to participate
in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge that will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Beverley will be replacing Wizards guard John Wall.
Oh were you expecting a reason? Oh no there isn’t one. The NBA has randomly picked Patrick Beverley to randomly replace John Wall In the Skills Challenge.
The word “random” is popping up quite a lot. And frankly I’m annoyed for two reasons.
1) Why is this even happening?
2) Why Patrick Beverley?! What made the NBA think that Patrick Beverley was an adequate replacement to the 2nd best point guard in the league? I’m sorry, are Mike Conley, Rajon Rondo and Ty Lawson busy that day?
NBA, little tip. If you’re going to replace a player for no reason. At least get a replacement that actually makes sense.
