Who’s ready for some NBA beef?
The annual NBA GM survey was released on Tuesday. Among the many questions asked of the league’s top executives is one about the toughest players.
It’s a mostly random question with no true right answer. That doesn’t mean players can’t get mad at the results thought!
Here’s Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley:
Wow I didn't make that list wow!!! But delly are u kidding??? https://t.co/DN4732XnEk

Beverley being upset about not being listed (he did receive votes, by the way) isn’t really news. But the fact that he singled out Milwaukee Bucks point guard Matthew Dellavedova is incredible.
The always vocal Bev wasn’t done either. When pressed by someone telling him that Delly “shut down” Stephen Curry in the finals two years ago, the Rocket kept at it:
Steph didn't play our serious, dude had to get a IV bag after and golden state won the chip. I'm confused https://t.co/MBOi6mluyH

Delly infamously had to get treated for dehydration after his best effort against Curry in the 2015 Finals. Beverley clearly hasn’t forgotten.
It’s not the first time Beverley has spoken up about Delly, either. The Rockets point guard sent out the following tweet after Dellavedova hit Andre Iguodala in the – uhhh – lower regions during the Finals.
If I would have done that……….

To be fair, the question isn’t about who is the best defender in the league; it’s about toughness, however that’s defined by the individual voters.
That said, I couldn’t care less about the actual results, nor Patrick Beverley’s opinions of them. The way he reacted, though? Give me way more of that.
